The short answer
Iron oxides are the pigments that give mineral makeup its color. Three shades — red, yellow, and black — are blended to build every skin tone in a foundation range. In our formulas they are non-nano and uncoated, and they are the last line of the pressed ladder because they are the smallest fraction of it.
Iron oxides are mineral pigments in red, yellow and black. Blended, they make every skin tone we offer, in both the pressed and the liquid lines.
They are also why nothing we sell contains carmine. Carmine is a red pigment made from cochineal insects: a common reaction trigger and not vegan. Iron oxides do the red work instead.
Ours are non-nano and uncoated. Because the color comes entirely from stable mineral pigment, the shade you press on is the shade at hour eight — there is nothing in the formula that oxidizes.
