Boron Nitride
What it is
A synthetic mineral with a platelet structure similar to mica's, used for soft-focus diffusion.
Why it is here
Soft focus. It scatters light across the surface of the foundation so full coverage looks like skin rather than like a layer, without using mica.

In some formulas, not others
Boron nitride is in the Liquid Foundation and is not in the baked pressed line. The pressed line lists it as an omission, so if it is on your avoid list, the pressed compacts are the ones to reach for.
